Yep, 6rounds are running for The Crunchies Awards. In case you are not familiar with this competition, here’s some information from the TechCrunch post about it:

The Crunchies Awards celebrate the best technology accomplishments of 2009. There are 18 award categories to recognize accomplishments across a variety of fields and roles. And to keep things fresh, we have a few new award categories this year too. Our focus is start-ups, but big companies and products can be winners too…. Yes, this is the time of year that we stop bickering among ourselves as bloggers, and come together to honor the startups, products and entrepreneurs who make our lives so much fun.

We are finally posting the screencasts our users created on the 6rounds video chat experience platform in order to win the Google Wave invites up for grabs competition. In the past couple of days I’ve been hearing many people’s disappointment over not receiving a Google Wave invite. Tons of people are asking me to invite them, or to direct them to someone that can invite them. There have even been a few people who have been selling their invites on eBay (and getting pretty high bids for them). As 6rounds is the first video chat extension featured on Google Wave, we have decided to give away 6 invites to our loyal community of 6rounds users.

Do we have your attention? Yep, we will be giving away 6 Google Wave invitations!

How to win a Google Wave Invite?

In order to win a Wave invite, all you need to do is to make a very short screencast featuring you and your chat partner rounding on 6rounds, upload it to YouTube, and then send me the link: natasha (at) 6rounds (dot) com.

The screencast should be creative, fun and interesting, and it should show a few of our activities, games, effects, gifts and skins. You can make your screencast via screenr or any other screencasting method that you prefer. Remember, the more amusing your screencast is, the higher the chance you have of winning.

This is a 6 day competition! Once we have received all of the screencasts (no later than midnight Thursday Tuesday October 8th 13th) I will put them on a Google Wave and invite other wave users to vote on who should win. The winners will be announced on Monday Friday October 12th 16th here on this blog. If you have a wave account and you would like to vote, ping me at shine.natasha (at) googlewave (dot) com before Thursday.

By the way, if your screencast is chosen, we will not only give you a Google Wave invite, we will also add a cool soundtrack and some effects and feature your video on a few of our upcoming blog posts and maybe even on our homepage!
