Recording Tutorial

The following is a step-by-step tutorial of how to use our new screen recording feature! Follow these simple instructions to be able to playback your favorite conversations and share them with friends!

Step One:

At the bottom right of your screen, you will see an icon of a camera for “Screen Recording”. Press this button to start the recording process.

Step Two:

When you have clicked on the camera button, a pop-up will appear giving you two options. You can either click the button to “learn more” which will lead you here, or you can click continue!

When asked, please allow the “Java Plug-in” to run on your browser.

Step Three:

You will see a text on the top of your screen that indicates the recorder is loading.

When it is finished, you will then see a text that says your screen recorder is loaded.

The screen recorder will load a resizable frame that will surround your screen, along with an instruction box in the center.

Step Four:

You can resize the frame by clicking and dragging the boxes on the edges to fit the size of your Rounds chat. You can move the frame by clicking on the instruction box and dragging it to your desired spot.

Step Five:

Click the red button to start recording!

You can click the pause button to stop your recording and come back to it later.

Step Six:

Press DONE when you have finished!

Step Seven:

After you have pressed DONE a pop-up screen will appear where you can preview your recording. There are also options on the bottom of the pop-up, where you can either “Continue” to next step and save your screen recording or choose “Delete” to cancel and delete your recording.

Step Eight:

Once you have clicked on “Continue”, the screen recording will then upload and its progress will be shown. Depending on the length of your recording, this process might take a while, so please be patient.

When the upload is complete, you’ll see a new pop-up where you can choose if you want to “Download Video” and save it to your computer or again, cancel and “Delete” it.

To save the video to your desktop, just right click on “Download Video” and choose “Save Link As” and your recording will then be saved to your computer.

Step Nine:

Now that you finished your recording, feel free to share it with your friends and post it on Facebook, YouTube, attach it to an email, etc.
