At Rounds, our goal is to reach as many web users as we possibly can, and offer them a fun and easy place where they can video chat while socializing in numerous ways. The Rounders Initiative is one of the many methods we use to reach out to communities and bring them into our own network while teaching different aspects of social media. Our Rounders are smart, strategic and sociable people who help market Rounds video chatting and our blog to people like you!
There are two types of positions available, both of which are in the social media marketing realm and can be done from the comfort of home (wherever that may be). Ideal candidates are high school or college students that are sociable and have experience working with social media websites. An interest in communications such as advertising/marketing/journalism is preferred (but not limited to). The role will involve developing strategies to get new users to register to Rounds, as well as implementing those strategies.
Brand Ambassador
A five-month internship in which each intern will have the opportunity to learn how to use social media as a powerful marketing tool while effectively promoting Rounds. Every two weeks, each Brand Ambassador receives a Rounder’s Guide which will teach them a new aspect of social media (Social bookmarking sites, HTML, WordPress, Twitter, MySpace, blogosphere etc.) and assign them tasks pertaining to that guide’s lessons that will help them promote Rounds. Some tasks include driving positive distribution of the Rounds brand both online and offline.
Brand Ambassadors are people who are interested in technology and social media. We are looking for interns who are enthusiastic to connect with their communities and networks all the while learning about a wide range of social media aspects and its effectiveness as a powerful marketing tool.
Brand Influencer
A less intensive two-month internship. Brand Influencers are key people who help create buzz and spread the word about our platform. Influencers should possess a large social network and the ability to create buzz within their direct and indirect network. They should be willing to devote around 5 hours a week for the two months.
The role of the Brand Influencer is less intensive yet still beneficial to both the intern’s experience with social media and Rounds. Interns should have communities on Facebook as well as other places like Twitter, Digg, StumbleUpon, etc. As we launch our Facebook application, Brand Influencers will be promoting within their networks. Interns will also help publicize Rounds by being active users.
