How the Internet enables intimacy (TED Talk)
Here’s an interesting talk from TED about how communication technology is capable of cultivating deeper relationships, bringing love across barriers like distance and workplace rules. I guess that’s what we’ve been saying all along… 6rounds is definitely here to deeper connections between people :)
“Stefana Broadbent, a cognitive scientist, has spent decades observing people as they use technology, both at home and in complex workspaces such as air-traffic control towers. She looks at the way we use our brand-new tools, and at the evolving practices for each tool (for instance, you might phone your mother, but text your spouse; IM with a co-worker, but tweet among friends) that speak volumes on the way we think about our relationships.”
Are you in a long-distance relationship?

Being in a relationship is tricky when you live close to one another, but living apart and being in a long distance relationship is even harder. How do you maintain the same sense of connectivity as when you are together? That is the factor that defines many long-distance relationship break-ups’. Of course physical interaction is important but when both parties have accepted that it’s not the main thing on the agenda, what’s left? Well, it’s the means of communication differentiating feeling connected and feeling the void of the distance.
